Ingredients

Elevate your breakfast with a rich, savory Cheesy Omelet featuring Cache Valley® Creamery Mozzarella Cheese Mild Cheddar Cheese, and Salt Butter. This fluffy, cheesy omelet is perfect for a satisfying morning meal and is packed with delicious flavors.

  • 8 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup sliced green pepper
  • 1/4 cup sweet onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup diced ham
  • 1/4 cup Cache Valley® Creamery Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup Cache Valley® Creamery Mild Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1-2 tablespoons Cache Valley® Creamery Butter for cooking

Steps

Prepare the Ingredients:

  • Crack the 8 eggs into a large mixing bowl and whisk until fully combined. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  • Slice the green pepper, chop the sweet onion, and dice the ham.
  • Add the sliced green pepper, chopped onion, and diced ham to the bowl with the eggs. Stir in the 1/4 cup each of Cache Valley® Creamery Mozzarella and Mild Cheddar Cheese. Mix well.

Preheat the Electric Skillet:

  • Set your electric skillet to 400°F (200°C) and let it preheat.
  • Add 1-2 tablespoons of Cache Valley® Creamery Butter and allow it to melt or heat up.

Cook the Omelet:

  • Pour the egg mixture, which includes the vegetables, ham, and cheese, into the preheated skillet. Let it cook undisturbed for about 1-2 minutes until the edges begin to set.
  • Gently lift the edges of the omelet with a spatula and tilt the skillet to allow any uncooked eggs to flow to the edges.
  • Add the Cheese: Once the omelet is mostly set but still slightly runny on top, sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup each of Cache Valley® Creamery Mozzarella and Mild Cheddar evenly over one half of the omelet.

Fold and Finish Cooking:

  • Carefully cut the omelet down the middle with a spatula. Roll both sides of the omelet towards the center, creating a cylindrical shape with the cheese inside.
  • Close the electric skillet lid (if available) and let the rolled omelet cook for another 1-2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the omelet is fully cooked.

Serve and Enjoy:

  • Gently slide the rolled omelet onto a plate.
